The Natural, Flawless Look.

I found Looklet, a site to play dress up via TIC and since then I am hooked on this site.My current obsession is to create a party look for the Autumn / Fall collection and I try to play with various collection. Here are some of the looks I created using the Anna Sui Autumn Doll collection.

I am one who always try to achieve a natural, flawless look. For me, a natural, flawless look is the best look. It is one when you look like you are born effortlessly gorgeous. Like you wake up every day looking like a supermodel instead of trying hours to achieve a perfect look. You have the touch to wear a sack and make it look chic.

To achieve a natural, flawless look is actually not as easy as it seems as nobody is perfect. Nobody is perfect, but a horrible base cannot create a good end result and that it why a good base is needed to create a natural, flawless look and to avoid looking like you used flour as makeup.A good makeup base can help create illusions of a perfect skin by covering the flaws of our skin while keeping it natural by giving a coverage that looks like a second skin. A good makeup base is a Holy grail, and therefore when I heard about Moisture Rich Base Makeup Fall 2009 collection which is 'famous for creating flawless skin on the runway' I decided to stock up on the info for its Moisture Rich Base. The Moisture Rich foundation primer and foundation aims to give a natural flawless look while delivering moisture for great skin from within. No wonder TIC is singing praises at it ! By using this Moisture Rich foundation primer and foundation, I can create a natural, flawless look for the look I created as it gives even coverage, hides the flaws while maintaining a natural look, making me the natural, flawless beauty queen of effortless chic and amazing skin !

The Moisture rich collection also comes with a powder foundation and other super gorgeous colors and products to complement the look. I cannot wait to check it out !

Fasting Benefits.

Puasa day 1 started on a sad note. My parents and grandma rushed to pay respects to my cousin Gadaffi who answered Allah's holy call on the 1st day of Ramadhan. he was 25 and suspected h1n1 . Al-Fatihah for him. Prayers are needed regardless of religion yah.. Anyway someone asked me why do I like to post deaths of family members on Facebook ? Well the more who pray for my family members, the better right ?
Today we will break our fast at Quality insya Allah..keep waiting to bump into Kak Naya but i guess she is busy. I love Ramadhan..more happier than Syawal. I dont know why. All tragedies I received seem to be tests, and I can take it on much stronger emotions. ;)
Happy Ramadhan..dont forget to wear masks yeah..ignore those catcalls..ignorant fools..;))

Masks are fashion must haves now!

Hye its me !
Yeah, basically chances of me updating this space will be next to rare because of exams and whatnots. I miss this sphere so much that I am crapping when I am supposed to be studying for exams ! ;) So me.. anyway, ill post something less bimbo-ish once in a while but today i just feel like crapping, can I ? too much sadness and seriousness in my life right now, thats right i have exams and work round the clock and we are also dumped with h1n1 and how our govt do not handle it properly, giving rise to those sad and scary death tolls. Basically, tis correct, and I experienced two cases where the govt hospital did nothing, did not do swipe tests and let the patients go only to confirm it is h1n1 later. Happened to two guy friends of mine, and now they are reassuring us they are doing things ? Please. Therefore take very good care of urselves, readers of mine. Never part from ur 1000mg vit c, mask and hand sanitizer. Go to the dr should you feel ill, okay ??

Oh, Ramadhan is coming. That means detoxifying of all sins and toxins I have done and consumed, and may we all emerged purified after the period ended. So sad when Ramadhan ends, right ? Hari Raya seems mundane, but Ramadhan ? Now, that is the happy month. Dont know why.. Anyway, have a happy Ramadhan to everyone..yes even non Muslims can enjoy the gastronomic fares set up everywhere.. It is just a temporary fasting, but when you see the buffet fare they displayed, it is like it has turned into a food fest! oh well..

Till next time,
xoxo

Message In a Bottle.

My beloved succumbed to the h1n1 virus, leaving me in anxiety for his health. Various calls were made and though he is stable now, the vomiting stage is still present therefore we cannot relax. Govt. hospitals are something, arent they ? We need to resort to private whenever possible, even during this pandemic stage. The officials should take note. Someone's life is at stake !

Anyway, to cope with my worry-wrat situation, I visited various outlets, one being my cousin's to see ma petite tresor. All three of them (only 2 are camwhores) never fail to cheer me. On that note, I end my weekend. xoxoxoxox.

Raison D' Etre.

I found out today that a friend was infected with H1N1. We spent days together and such during my JB trip. I did not know how and why I was not infected, but am thankful for it. This is not my first lucky break, my housemate's brother was infected and was staying in our house at that time, and thank God we were okay. The medical officers did not quarantined us or anything, but we were okay.
I checked through my activities and I found out that during those exposed moments, I was forever hooked on my hand sanitizer which is Dettol and can be bought at any Guardian outlets. I stick with Dettol because of the 99percent germicide guarantee, regardless of whether other brands have the same function. They did not advertise that, do they ? Only Dettol. I refused to compromise, and thank God I was saved even without a mask on 24/7. So I cannot stress the importance of sanitizing your hands during this trying time. It is important, and if you must know, the hospitals are too full for patients. They will be given vaccines, and shooed home. In Ali's case, be shooed without vaccines. So take care yeah !
Wishing everyone pink health always,
me.

Before you started pointing.

Prof. Azmi Sharom came over to our university during the recent law conference and he gave a quite interesting speech. Basically , he is all for racial equality and believes that conversion from Islam to other religions such be allowed, as he interpreted Art. 11 means. My understanding of his speech is such, and while I disagree with some points, I have to give him a standing ovation for such a moving speech.
Anyway, the reason as to why am I pointing to such speech is that racial equality and religious issues seems to be highlighting our lives lately. Gone are the days when all of us can live in peace and harmony, and today we can see Colin Arvind giving an example of a man tortured in ISA, to condemn ISA and if i interpret wrongly, forgive me, the religion Islam that is seen as the basis of inequality in Malaysia.
Now, I can emphatize when ppl feel opresses, but we need to ask ourselves a question, are we really ?? Why is it that when it is all Islam, we are seen as bad, seen as defensive, superior, and such ? Why cant we give examples of Muslims opressed, seen in the likes of Palestinians and the Myanmar Rohingians? On whose words can Colin's example be taken seriously? The Malay father claimed he was tortured , but on whose words ? He is the injured party, he can exaggerate cant he ? For further information, ISA still gives the right of habeas corpus, and does not simply take away all of your rights. Be careful when reading online statements. They can contain hidden agendas and malignancy. Compare ISA with Patriots Act, which is worse ? In truth, as multiracial country, we need the ISA. Implementation might be bad recently, but that does not give any ground to criticise the law. Thank you Emile Ezra for putting words in my head.
The chinese and Indians raised issues that they are opressed, but when we look at the economic sector, who holds more power ? Who is richer ? The chinese. They control the economy, they raise prices. Is that opression ?? Look at the Singaporean Malays. They only have their egos, lack of education certainly provides more space for this. Try to compare that with Malaysia. Now you tell me which is opression! Furthermore, kindly tell me which country with mixed races does not have any racial nor religious supremacy? The US? do not make me scorn ! If I am not mistaken, a UK Queen must be a Protestant. That is not supremacy ?
When I looked at it that way, it seems that all these talks on equality hides a very important agenda for something else. Next time you want to satisfy all their claims, and next time you read the net for something, do not be blinded. DO your own research and then judge. We have ppl who wants to be equal yet used as a stepping stone for agendas, and we have ppl whom are smart enough to know their rights and yet be as equal as can be. Lets all be smart.

Trouble.

Really long,really..

packing with hmates

Last weekend, I decided to visit my erm, friend Ammar for an impromptu vacation. I took the bus on Saturday at 10.30 am and arrived at Larkin Terminal at approximately 1.30pm JB time. I wore a mask due to h1n1 scare that is rampant in Melaka, however in JB it seems things are pretty relaxed. Ammar picked me up and we checked in at Kozi Hotel which is recommended by my friend. IMHO, if you really do not mind small spaces and seriously just want to sleep at your hotel, this hotel is for you. Nice deco and cleanliness and the convenient location aside,

you can see its so cramped

Ammar and I are not particularly fond of this hotel .Nevertheless

we left for City Square to watch The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and we really enjoyed the movie ! It was witty, hilarious and full of important messages , especially to Players ! :) Ammar then took me to Danga Bay Beach Club to soak in the beachside ambience and listened to live bands which can be confusing as there are many bands playing, in each cafe. We listened to his friends performing, and the ambience was really romantic.

the singer, Wan and I

The next step will be Freedom 09, but I decided to skip and hang out with Sha's bf Kamil instead and Kamil showed me around JB town, the speciality of Pondans in JB ( dont ask me how he knew), Mahmudiah, Singgah Selalu Danga Bay and JJ visits at 2.30 am. I guess Kamil is camera shy as we did not and he does not request for pics throughout the night.

the ambience at Singgah Selalu, Danga Bay

Cool eyh ?.At 4, Ammar returned and we called it a day.

On my second day, we checked in at The Zon and after camwhoring sessions ( necessity ) we left to visit Ammar's parents.

Rashid, mak ngan Ammar tak propah ok ? Nah.Haha

Budak Jakun

his partner in crime

I stopped at JJ Bukit Indah which was proclaimed to be the biggest JJ, and while it is big, it is just like any other JJ in Malaysia. I dont understand the need to upstage existing JJs and the need for many JJs.Anyway, I even had a chance to visit my beloved friend Rashid and it was so much fun. Imagine gossiping like nannies, at his place and under his mom's watchful eyes. ;) I never visited friends on vacation before. I really loved the experience and I hope this will be one of many visits yeah Rashid ? ;) Ammar's family is verrry welcoming, when I first arrived, his mom wasn't home and we left because I was nervous. However, fate has it that Ammar left his wallet and we had to return and his mom was home so we met and I was invited to stay, which was so much fun since I managed to learn the art of making roti canai ( his family owns a restaurant ) . Discussions are centred on riots on TV and his dad have interesting views on politics , surprisingly ! I did not realized how much I enjoyed my visit, and since it was late I grudgingly returned to my mediocre room and call it a night.

Johnny, who seems lovable and friendsly at first

Purred at first when I tried to hold him.

Then tried to struggle to be free from me !

But seems docile with the owners, see ? Thats Ammar's youngest sis

Thats Ammars STeve -O, the sugar glider. They have 5 pets

My last day, was filled with emotional turbulence and meeting up with friends. After bfast with Kamil, Ammar and I checked out and visited the Zon Duty Free for chocolates. Nothing much here really. Then we had lunch with Yoyo, a friend with green hair ( please kill me because I dont dare to take pics )and fellow hairstylist. Ammar and I then ( after heavy persuasion on my part) watched our last movie the Proposal at City Square. The verdict ? This is a very cliched movie, however it was injected with elements of humor making it stand out and it was amazing really. We cannot stop laughing. Must watch ok !

Done with the movie, Ammar then took me to Danga Bay for some soul searching, and at 11 pm, I took the bus and depart from my beloved vacation. I arrived in Shah Alam at 3, tired, battered but emotionally fulfilled. My trip to JB is filled with first-times, and revelation. I realized that I did not take pics much, but I guess my data storage is sufficient for personal momentos.;) My entry seems boring and mundane, but Im not good with words I guess, and some things, are better when it is unsaid.
