Dont be like Saudi Arabians.

Readers,
I am extremely sorry that my long hiatus will end with a sad entry. Well, nothing much has been going on,other than my successful boycott of US and Israel products which contribute to the Gaza crisis. I know many disagree, even ridicule, but the thing is, have u ever heard, one little, one person Do COUNT ? I am not stupid, I know I can never cripple the whole economy ( Can, if we all do it, yes im talking to you, who is eating McD right now , but I cannot force you to stop, just look at u sadly because you are so ignorant) but I , and a few others with compassion can make our presence felt.Just yesterday, I proudly watch as Starbucks and Mcd lose customers. Yay! I am not cruel, I know some Msians work there, but for the greater good, u know..

Anyway, one of a friend, Romeo ( Khaled Anwar) is a Palestinian and his mom is in Palestine. He misses her and does not know whether she is alive or dead. Do pray for him, people! Please..Now im begging..

Anyway, i will not ramble with stories from Palestine, other writers can do it more justice, but if you want to boycott..Go shop at Bangsar Village ,or at least Cold Storage, they have some organic Australian stuffs and you can go healthy while boycotting.
;) email me for more ok? Its not that hard, trust me.If i love mCd, and i did it, so can you.

We wont die from missing Coke.Seriously

Former Malaysia PM calls for boycott of US dollar, products
Former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad on Monday called for a global boycott of the US dollar and US-made products, including Coca-Cola, in protest over Washington's backing of Israel.

Mahathir, who during his two decades in power was a leading voice in the Muslim world, said people had to take action against the United States over its support for Israel, which is conducting a military offensive in Gaza.

"If you stop accepting US currency, the US can't trade and can't make any money, it will become very poor and it will have to stop the production of more and more weapons in order to kill people," he told a press conference.

"We should not be buying all these weapons from the US, we can buy from the Russians if we must have aeroplanes and things like that," he added.

"People must act... they won't die if they don't drink Coca-Cola."

Mahathir criticised the US for blocking a UN resolution calling for an end to the action by Israel, which has launched an air and ground offensive that has left at least 510 Palestinians dead, many of them civilians.

The fiery former prime minister, who stepped down in 2003, said he did not expect a new US approach under Barack Obama, who is due to be sworn in as president on January 20.

"I don't think there will be much change with regards to the policy of Israel. As you know, Obama went to Israel and asked for their support because a lot of voters in America are Jews," he said.

"I can't think of anybody being as bad as (President George W.) Bush, it is the best of the bad choices," he said of Obama.

Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi Monday called on the United Nations to convene an emergency session on Israel's offensive in Gaza, saying the UN had a "moral duty" to end the violence.

THE KUALA LUMPUR INITIATIVE TO CRIMINALISE WAR
17 December 2005
The Kuala Lumpur Global Peace Forum of concerned peoples from all five continents are:

UNITED
in the belief that peace is the essential condition for the survival and well-being of the human race,

DETERMINED
to promote peace and save succeeding generations from the scourge of war,

OUTRAGED
over the frequent resort to war in the settlement of disputes between nations,

DISTURBED
that militarists are preparing for more wars,

TROUBLED
that use of armed force increases insecurity for all, and

TERRIFIED
that the possession of nuclear weapons and the imminent risk of nuclear war will lead to the annihilation of life on earth.

To achieve peace, we now declare that:

Wars increasingly involve the killing of innocent people and are, therefore, abhorrent and criminal. Killings in war are as criminal as the killings within societies in times of peace.

Since killings in peace time are subject to the domestic law of crime, killings in war must likewise be subject to the international law of crimes. This should be so irrespective of whether these killings in war are authorized or permitted by domestic law.

All commercial, financial, industrial and scientific activities that aid and abet war should be criminalised.

All national leaders who initiate aggression must be subjected to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.

All nations must strengthen the resolve to accept the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and institute methods to settle international disputes by peaceful means and to renounce war.

Armed force shall not be used except when authorised by a Resolution passed by two-thirds majority of the total membership of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

All legislators and all members of Government must affirm their belief in peace and pledge to strive for peace. Political parties all over the world must include peace as one of their principal objectives.

Non-Governmental Organisations committed to the promotion of peace should be set up in all nations.

Public servants and professionals, particularly in the medical, legal, educational and scientific fields, must promote peace and campaign actively against war.

The media must actively oppose war and the incitement to war and consciously promote the peaceful settlement of international disputes.

Entertainment media must cease to glorify war and violence and should instead cultivate the ethos of peace. All religious leaders must condemn war and promote peace.

To these ends the Forum resolves to establish a permanent Secretariat in Kuala Lumpur to:

IMPLEMENT this Initiative,

OPPOSE policies and programmes that incite war, and

SEEK the cooperation of NGOs worldwide to achieve the goals of this Initiative.

Open Letter to Barack Obama

Open Letter to Barack Hussein Obama President-elect of the United States of America
By Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on January 1, 2009 3:59 AM | Permalink | Comments (109) | TrackBacks (0)
Dear Mr. President,

I did not vote for you in the Presidential Election because I am Malaysian.

But I consider myself one of your constituents because what you do or say will affect me and my country as well.

I welcome your promise to change. Certainly your country, the United States of America need a lot of changes.

That is because America and Americans have become the best hated people in the world. Even Europeans dislike your arrogance. Yet you were once admired and liked because you freed a lot of countries from conquest and subjugation.

It is the custom on New Year's day for people to make resolutions. You must have listed your good resolutions already. But may I politely suggest that you also resolve to do the following in pursuit of Change.

1) Stop killing people. The United States is too fond of killing people in order to achieve its objectives. You call it war, but today's wars are not about professional soldiers fighting and killing each other. It is about killing people, ordinary innocent people by the hundreds of thousands. Whole countries will be devastated.

War is primitive, the cavemen's way of dealing with a problem. Stop your arms build up and your planning for future wars.

2) Stop indiscriminate support of Israeli killers with your money and your weapons. The planes and the bombs killing the people of Gaza are from you.

3) Stop applying sanctions against countries which cannot do the same against you.

In Iraq your sanctions killed 500,000 children through depriving them of medicine and food. Others were born deformed.

What have you achieved with this cruelty? Nothing except the hatred of the victims and right-thinking people.

4) Stop your scientists and researchers from inventing new and more diabolical weapons to kill more people more efficiently.

5) Stop your arms manufacturers from producing them. Stop your sales of arms to the world. It is blood money that you earn. It is un-Christian.

6) Stop trying to democratize all the countries of the world. Democracy may work for the United States but it does not always work for other countries.

Don't kill people because they are not democratic. Your crusade to democratize countries has killed more people than the authoritarian Governments which you overthrew. And you have not succeeded anyway.

7) Stop the casinos which you call financial institutions. Stop hedge funds, derivatives and currency trading. Stop banks from lending non-existent money by the billions.

Regulate and supervise your banks. Jail the miscreants who made profits from abusing the system.

8) Sign the Kyoto Protocol and other international agreements.

9) Show respect for the United Nations.

I have many other resolutions for change which I think you should consider and undertake.

But I think you have enough on your plate for this 2009th year of the Christian Era.

If you can do only a few of what I suggest you will be remembered by the world as a great leader. Then the United States will again be the most admired nation. Your embassies will be able to take down the high fences and razor-wire coils that surround them.

May I wish you a Happy New Year and a great Presidency.

Yours Sincerely,

Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad

(Former Prime Minister of Malaysia)

Press Statement from Tun M

THE KUALA LUMPUR FOUNDATION TO CRIMINALISE

WAR

AND THE PERDANA GLOBAL PEACE ORGANISATION

AT ITS MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 2ND 2009

The barbaric and wanton massacre of the Palestinians in Gaza which started some days ago and is now still continuing is yet another example of the blatant war crimes committed by Zionist Israel since its establishment in 1948.

Supported and encouraged by the United States and Britain, Israel has ignored international condemnation and insists that she has the unfettered right to murder innocent men, women and children on account of some rocket attacks by Palestinians who were retaliating against the blockade of Gaza. The blockade over the last 9 months has brought starvation and untold suffering to the Palestinians. The heroic Palestinian people have every right to take action in self-defence to break this inhuman siege.

The United Nations has condemned this attempt to starve and deny the medical needs of the Palestinians in order to force them into submission, but as usual, Israel backed by the United States has ignored international opinion and international law.

The peace loving peoples of the world must not just sympathise with the Palestinians but must take concrete action to bring the war criminals to justice.

For various reasons Governments will not do anything to put a stop to Israeli intransigence. It remains for the people to take positive action individually or through their Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO).

We propose that the peoples of the world boycott Israeli products and stop all trade with Israel.

Secondly we call upon the international community to abandon the use of the US Dollar in international trade, and to stop buying United States' bonds. Such purchases have enabled the United States to grant substantial aid to Israel and to supply it with the weapons now being used against the people in Gaza and elsewhere. The concerned peace loving peoples of the world must not, even if it is in a small way, be the participants and financiers in the massacre of the Palestinians, the Iraqis and the Afghans.

Finally we call upon the United Nations General Assembly to condemn Israel the same way that the Security Council condemns Darfur, Rwanda and Burundi and to set up a Tribunal to try Israeli war criminals.

Statement on the Israeli Invasion of Gaza
By Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on December 31, 2008 1:20 PM | Permalink
The Kuala Lumpur Foundation to Criminalise War is shocked and angered over the Israeli invasion of Gaza since Saturday 27 December 2008. Our hearts go to the people of Gaza in this time of great distress.

We call upon the international community to immediately act in concert to call upon Israel to stop the bombing of Gaza and the slaughter of innocent lives forthwith. We support the call by the United Nations for an immediate ceasefire and an end to all military operations to facilitate relief work and delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

The Foundation also calls upon the governments of the United States, Britain and other major powers to put necessary pressure on Tel Aviv to stop the inhuman slaughter of Palestinian men, women and children in Gaza with bombs and other weapons.

I always meant what I said.

I made an announcement via Facebook status that I shall be celebrating New Year at home quietly out of respect for the pain suffered by my cousins in Palestine and the residents of Bukit Antarabangsa and Mumbai. Anyway, being at home does not mean idling. Here's what I did :

I bought this instant dadih / jelly recipe packet earlier.

Turned it into yummylicious dadihs which managed to surprise myself at my ability.

Savour my creation !I named them LoverJelly to represent the love and softness I wish to extend to those people mentioned above. Please do not expect anything obscene out of that name teehee..

p/s : If you noticed, my house was dark except for the kitchen as I had an Earth Hour kind of moment for respect.;)..Happy New Year everybody !
