Theobroma is the new chocolate lounge at Pavilion, purveying almost every chocolate known to man. They served a pretty extensive selection of foods to nibble, and the best melted chocolate drinks in Malaysia, served hot or cold at your preferences. The pricing is affordable,making this the next in outlet for me. I didnt sample any food as I was quite full after lunch at Rain Nudle Bar. I will definitely return to sample the delicious morsels so wickedly displayed on the menu. PCD visited this place too when they were in Malaysia, Nicole fans ! I still need the pics for other outlets so do keep this site in view. It is hard to get pictures of food as some outlets strictly refused picture taking in the restaurant. Terrible !

I got inspired !

this is non related-i just started wearing contact lenses for short sightedness.How do i look ?

I know I promised my summer style, but with the camera phone craziness, it might be awhile. Anyway, my friend Arif kindly took some pictures of me here ( under duress) and i thought i might share it with you people. Sometimes when the weather is too unbearably hot ( bear in mind I am living in Malacca) i cant stomach the thought of putting on a sweater, pashmina or whatnots over my dresses to classes ( MMU have a dress code !) i will wear a shirt under my dresses, tied them and place the knots between my bra to create a make do sleeve for my dresses. It is simple, comfy and best of all saves time to think of what to wear. Simply mix and match colors and you are ready for the day. Have fun mixing !

Christina Opens Up: "I Had A Double Mastectomy!"

Christine Applegate gave her first interview today on Good Morning America, her first time talking publicly since announcing she had breast cancer earlier this month.

Applegate revealed that although her cancer was contained in one breast, she elected to have a double mastectomy three weeks ago.

She'll therefore have to undergo reconstructive surgery over the next eight months.

Of the decision she says, "I just wanted to kind of be rid of it. So this was the choice I made and it was a tough one."

But for Applegate, she said it was a logical decision as her mother had battled breast cancer before and then suffered from a recurrence years later. Christina also tested positive for the BRCA1 gene, which is linked to breast and ovarian cancer.

She adds, "My decision, after looking at all the treatment plans that were possibilities for me, the only one that seemed the most logical and the one that was going to work for me was to have a bilateral mastectomy. So basically I had a prophylactic double mastectomies."

However, she did describe the experience as an emotional roller coaster.

She said, "Sometimes, you know, I cry and sometimes I scream and I get really angry and I get really like, you know, into wallowing in self-pity sometimes. And I think that's - it's all part of healing, and anyone who's going through it out there, it's OK to cry. It's OK to fall on the ground and just scream if you want to."

Luckily her cancer was detected early enough through a doctor-ordered MRI.

After her experience, Christina is trying to keep her sense of humor.

She says, "I've laughed so much in the last three weeks. I love living, and I really love my life, and I knew that from this moment on it was only going to be good that was going to be coming. Yeah, I'll face challenges, but you can't get any darker than where I've been. So knowing that in my soul gave me the strength to just say, 'I have to get out there and make this a positive.'"

She also added jokingly, "I'm going to have cute boobs ’til I'm 90, so there's that. I'll have the best boobs in the nursing home. I'll be the envy of all the ladies around the bridge table."

And as a result of her experience, Applegate has decided to start a program to financially help women who are at high risk for breast cancer, such as to meet the costs of an MRI which is not always covered by insurance.

Applegate will also appear in a one-hour TV special, Stand Up to Cancer, which will air on September 5th to raise money for cancer research.

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (TRY THE KEY WORD) AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY.


1. Every person has cancer cells in the body.These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar, is a cancer-feeder.

By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like Nutrasweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt. ( THE WEST MADE US 2 CHANGE FROM SEA 2 WHITE IODISED SALT )

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus .

By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c.. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment.

A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful,especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.

Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water- best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor ssence,Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins,minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto,
Wellness Program Manager at CastleHospitalwas on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat.

He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as CorningWare, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food.

You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is
in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, CorningWare, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Why the warnings are always right.

This will probably be one of the many personal posts i will upload. I want to share something with my readers. You know, one thing I have learned from my broken relationships is, we cannot make love by changing who we are for someone we love. We cannot stop eating, cannot take drugs, cannot stop our hobbies etc. It does not work that way. Loving does not mean being perfect. It means accepting each other's flaws. Why do marriage broke? Because most spouses change who they are to fit in. Please, no matter what your other half told you, you cannot change who you are. Listen to your friends. When you are dating, always make it a point to tell your true friends everything. At least, everything outside the bedroom. Your friends can tell if the guy is using you or such. They are always right. When we are in love, we might not listen. But once the love is gone, we will realize what friends says are right. But of course, people can be wrong too. So, just to prove something,fight for your love and do not listen to people whom are not close to you. The one who will get hurt is you, not them. The one achieving bliss and getting on the track to avalance is you. So fight for your love. Call if you want to, unless your friends stopped you.When you are hurt from your actions, you will know and repent fast.But listen to your real friends who knows your love. They only care for you, not wishing you harm out of jealousy. Drugs is a total no-no people. Please, drugs cloud your judgments. No matter how mysterious or sexy drugs seems, it is not good for you. Once will make you crave more. Detox is extremely hard. Unless you have a good support system from friends, you will keep getting high until it is too late. Think it over. I have been there and done that and I just want to protect people from getting to where I have been. Because I know how painful and hard it is. This is supposed to be a sob personal entry, but I think some things are better kept to myself. I do not do PDE, after all.

However, I think my missing from the event will not be a major fallout. I wish them the best of happiness and marriage bliss and may they live happily ever after. Fairy tales are needed for people living in sadness ! I am currently "rehabbing", detoxifying myself from my previous Holy Herb. Girls, we should not do drugs even to get a good figure. On the other hand, a former actress, Wan Nor Azlin is again in the limelight for her plea to be back in the entertainment scene. I think she should be given a chance. Someone who has repents for her sins and is trying to make herself better is more pure than a hypocritical bitch who condemns yet did the same thing behind closed doors. Let's face it, a lot of Malaysians are engaged in pre-marital sex. That is the choice that we cannot interfere with unless we have concrete proofs that a couple is engaging in pre-marital sex. If not,that is between a person and God. The only difference between the couples and Wan Nor Azlin is the sexual acts are not displayed to public. Wan Nor Azlin however faced a different fate. There is a chance, however slight that the next victim will be you, if you are engaged in the same act as she and you taped it. Therefore before you criticize anyone, please stop and think that it can easily be you suffering the same predicament.Be strong girls, be strong.
