Misery hates misery.

Today i break my fast alone. I never break fasts alone. I didn't make plans with my friends, i was all alone in this house and i don't have any means of obtaining credits and the network has been down all day. Of all the time. So i decided to be independent, I ventured out to buy a simple meal of Fried Chicken, with my bf's accusation of me being an anorexic ringing in my ears. Does he have no heart ? Why did he digest his worries in the form of anger ? I thought it's okay, I'll just wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow everything will be okay.
Opening my door after the trip, i saw all my housemates eating in front of the tv with the two non residents. I quickly made my way to my room with a heavy heart. I never felt so left out. I love this house, i like my bed, but maybe it is not for me anymore. All my friends are in Ixora and Ug, not here. I should've listened to their advices and just move with them instead of adamantly wanting to stay here for the rent. I feel like a stranger in my own home, the two non residents are more housemates here than i am. We used to go through everything together, and now.

It could be me, it could be them. God knows best. Maybe there's a blessing for what He made me endure.

Beauty Tips

Eau Naturale products to help these problems :

Run Out of scrubs ?
-Use a few tablespoons of salt and rub it on a wet body softly. Leave for a few minutes and rinse.Better yet, use with honey.

Over exposure of the sun :
Spread a natural yogurt on the face. Rub in circular motion for easy absorbent. Leave for about half an hour and rinse.Repeat daily until achieving desired results.

Rejuvenate tired face:
Make a cup of sugar free tea.Green tea is a better option.Leave to cool and use it to wash your face, alongside facial wash. Rub the teabag on your face to remove dead cells. This should be done until the tea leaves leak out and leave the leaves on your face for a few minutes.Rinse.Do twice a month. ( I have tried and it works.I now use this an a fast facial fix before a date or any event.)

The Great Escape

Scots Chief To Defend His Clan

Lord McDonald set to challenge MCDonald's burger chain
over use of the ancient name

The Herald - 7th October, 1996

Burger giants McDonald's have bitten off more than they can chew, according to the chief of one of Scotland's biggest clans.

Lord Godfery MacDonald, chief of the clan McDonald, looks set to challenge McDonald's company bosses over their exclusive right to use the ancient name.

Lord MacDonald has said every McDonald owning a business should be allowed to display the historic surname without dispute from bosses of the world-wide burger chain.

He has vowed to fight the company on behalf of the millions of McDonald clan members.

The challenge comes after controversy surrounding an Aberdeen-based man who has threatened to take McDonald's to court.

Mr Ronald McDonald, retired teacher, said the use of the name Ronald McDonald for the clown used by the company to entertain children was an insult to the Scottish clan system.

"Our name goes back hundreds of years and why should we stand aside and let an American-based burger chain, set up around 50 years ago, rule that we can't use our name.

"McDonald's didn't come to me when they set up their first restaurant and ask if they could use our name. Perhaps I should be getting touch with them and extracting royalties."

McDonald's bosses have been heavily criticised for attempting to prevent a sandwich shop in Buckinghamshire using the name McMunchies because they said customers would be confused into thinking there was an association with the burger giants.

Yesterday, McDonald's were again being criticised as top Tory Arthur Bell launched an attack on the company's "power tactics". Mr Bell, chairman of the Scottish Tory Reform Group, said; "People all over the place are being taken to court even for using the initials Mc.

"People are fed up with the power tactics of McDonald's. Capitalism is not about one company becoming all-powerful and stopping all other companies trading."

Mr Bell is familiar with the right to use a name after winning a court battle to use his name on a brand of whiskey.

He said: "McDonald is one the most famous names in the world. McDonald's everywhere must be furious at the way their name is being used.

"It is an obscenity and it's about time something was done and there's no better person to challenge McDonald's than the clan chief himself."

No-one from McDonald's was available for comment yesterday.

Legally yummy

In the simplest of terms, a ‘mamak’ shop along Jalan Ipoh is ordered to cease using the name ‘McCurry’ by the High Court. In an NST report,

Judge Datuk Siti Mariah Ahmad in her judgment in chambers agreed that “Mc” was distinctive of McDonald’s, either used singularly or in conjunction with food. “McDonald’s could therefore, claim goodwill and reputation in their business with reference to the prefix ‘Mc’,” she said yesterday.

Fair enough. Businesses must be protected by copyright laws and brands need to be defended against freeloaders who are in to make a quick buck out of the possibility of confusing the consumer. There should be very little compromise when it comes to these sort of things, for the damage can be fairly large in extreme cases. Essentially, this is the reason that copyright laws were created in the first place, to protect intellectual property.

McMamak

There is nothing new with this McDonald’s vs. McMamak incident. I remember a corner shop facing similar problems quite a while back when attempting to get away with the name ‘McMunchies. The owner of that particular establishment had claimed that she chose the name because she liked the word “muchies” and coming from Hamilton, Strathclyde, wanted to add a touch of Scotland. The sign on her shop was not the same colour or the same style as the McDonald’s logo, she added. Unfortunately there are very few McMydeens in Malabar — the place where my grandfather came from — to warrant that defense for the curry house in Jalan Ipoh, and even with that line, McMunchies is no more.

This lead to McDonald’s getting very angry, and this particular McDonald was the real thing. A school teacher named Ronald McDonald got vexed by the whole incident and gave a shot of his own to the corporation. He took a bite out of the Big Mac, and succeeded to take the mickey out of them, at least in Scotland. In the press report,

A retired teacher called Ronald McDonald is threatening to take the hamburger company McDonald’s to court, saying the use of the name Ronald McDonald for the clown’s mascot is an “insult” to the Scottish clan system.

To make matters worse, Lord Godfery MacDonald, chief of the clan McDonald agreed. He even took the same line of defense that ‘McDonald’s the corporation’ has used to launch legal attacks on anyone who uses ‘Mc’ in product naming.

“Our name goes back hundreds of years and why should we stand aside and let an American-based burger chain, set up around 50 years ago, rule that we can’t use our name.

“McDonald’s didn’t come to me when they set up their first restaurant and ask if they could use our name. Perhaps I should be getting touch with them and extracting royalties.”

This article says it all, and more. There’s even a to Tory politician who feels that McDonald’s have gone too far. That was about ten years ago, and it’s the same old thing over here.

A beautiful Tragedy

Such cherub, such heart-wrenching end. Allah knows best. There is no doubt that you are resting in His blessings. It is after all, a fitting position after the ordeal that is connected to your tragic death. Condolences to the family and friends. May you all be comforted by the thought that millions of parents, in Malaysia and outside shares your grieves.

Nurin is a symbol and reminder of how we are morally corrupted after 50 years. Malaysia is no more a safe country. The authorities should stop adding salt to the wounds the parents suffered by suing them for negligence. Sometimes we need to exercise discretionary powers on humanity. Instead, focus on capturing the fucking devil spawn still lurking somewhere waiting to pounce on the next victim to satisfy his sickening phaedophile lust. Probably sated after Nurin’s death too, as a criminal analyst had said that this devil enjoys torture and wanted to show his control by disposing her in public. Make the priority of capturing the devil before someone else is sacrificed to sate his demonic desire. Make Malaysians a better place. Review the sanctions, apply a stricter section. Clean our Constitution from the guilt of being lenient on devils. We after all, oppose the plague with the Devil.

Malaysian parents, lesson to be learned here is Malaysia is not safe. Do not fall under the trap of false security by allowing your children unsupervised anywhere. Sad as this may be, the country we are proud of has lost its sense of morality after 50 years. Do not trust anyone blindly. There is such thing as too good to be true. The most important thing is, cherish every time with your children. You never know when there might not be morning for them.

AL-FATIHAH.

Sawm.

There will be a particular time when i can happily strangle the bf. Especially now. In conjunction with the Ramadhan, we decided to break the fast together this Friday. As usual, all the bf said is,"nak makan dekat2 jer tau ! buffet laa senang !." (i want to dine somewhere near klcc (means IN klcc) and i want buffet style). Life is easy for him huh? Poor old me will be burdened with the complicated task of finding the restaurants and hotels within our budget, with the preferred cuisine since the bf's palette is crazily in sync with the Malay cuisine, and i need to make all the reservations needed since crowds will be chaotic. Seldom won't. Anyone have any suggestion for me ? I prefer a no frills ambience. No 7at9 puhleez. I'm not in the mood to drag stilettos. Huhu.

Breast Cancer ?Avoid Dairy !

Cure Breast Cancer By avoiding All Milk Products
By Prof. Jane Plant, PhD, CBE

Why I believe that giving up milk is the key to beating breast cancer...Professor Jane Plant is a wife, a mother, and widely respected scientist, who was made a CBE for her work in geochemistry. When she was struck bybreast cancer in 1987 at the age of 42, her happy and productive existenceseemed destined to fall apart. But despite the disease recurring a furtherfour times, Jane refused to give in. As she describes in an inspiring new book, Your Life In Your Hands serialised by the Mail this week, she devised a revolutionary diet and lifestyle programme that she believes saved her life and can cut the chancesof other women falling prey to the disease. Her theory remains a controversial one - but every woman should read it andmake up her own mind. Today, she explains her personal breakthrough...

I had no alternative but to die or to try to find a cure for myself. I am ascientist - surely there was a rational explanation for this cruel illnessthat affects 1 in 12 women in the UK? I had suffered the loss of one breast, and undergone radiotherapy. I was now receiving painful chemotherapy, and had been seen by some of the country's most eminent specialists. But, deep down, I felt certain I was facing death. I had a loving husband, a beautiful home and 2 young children to care for. I desperately wanted to live. Fortunately, this desire drove me to unearth the facts, some of which were known only to a handful of scientists at the time.

Anyone who has come into contact with breast cancer will know that certain risk factors - such as increasing age, early onset of womanhood, late onset of menopause & a family history of breast cancer - are completely out of our control. But there are many risk factors, which we can control easily. These 'controllable' risk factors readily translate into simple changes that we can all make in our day-to-day lives to help prevent or treat breast cancer. My message is that even advanced breast cancer can be overcome because I have done it.

The first clue to understanding what was promoting my breast cancer came when my husband Peter, who was also a scientist, arrived back from working in China while I was being plugged in for a chemotherapy session. He had brought with him cards and letters, as well as some amazing herbal suppositories, sent by my friends and science colleagues in China. The suppositories were sent to me as a cure for breast cancer. Despite the awfulness of the situation, we both had a good belly laugh & I remember saying that this was the treatment for breast cancer in China, then it was little wonder that Chinese women avoided getting the disease. Those words echoed in my mind.

Why didn't Chinese women get breast cancer? I had collaborated once with Chinese colleagues on a study of links between soilchemistry and disease, and I remembered some of the statistics. The disease was virtually non-existent throughout the whole country. Only 1in 10,000 women in China will die from it, compared to that terrible figureof 1 in 12 in Britain and the even grimmer average of one in 10 across most Western countries. It is not just a matter of China being a more rural country, with less urban pollution. In highly urbanised Hong Kong, the rate rises to 34 women in every 10,000 but still puts the West to shame. The Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki have similar rates. And remember, both cities were attacked with nuclear weapons, so in addition tothe usual pollution related cancers, one would also expect to find some radiation-related cases, too.

The conclusion we can draw from these statistics strikes you with some force. If a Western woman were to move to industrialized, irradiatedHiroshima, she would stash her risk of contracting breast cancer by half. Obviously this is absurd. It seemed obvious to me that some lifestyle factor not related to pollution, urbanization or the environment is seriously increasing the Western woman's chance of contracting breast cancer. I then discovered that whatever causes the huge differences in breast cancerrates between oriental and Western countries, it isn't genetic. Scientific research showed that when Chinese or Japanese people move to the West, within 1 or 2 generations, their rates of breast cancer approach those oftheir host community. The same thing happens when oriental people adopt a completely Western lifestyle in Hong Kong. In fact, the slang name for breast cancer in China translates as 'Rich Woman's Disease'. This is because, in China, only the better off can afford to eat what is termed 'Hong Kong food'. The Chinese describe all Western food, including everything from ice cream & chocolatebars to spaghetti and feta cheese, as 'Hong Kong food', because of its availability in the former British colony and its scarcity, in the past, in mainland China.

So it made perfect sense to me that whatever was causing my breast cancer & the shockingly high incidence in this country generally, it was almost certainly something to do with our better-off, middle-class, Western lifestyle. There is an important point for men here, too. I have observed in my research that much of the the data about prostate cancer leads to similar conclusions. According to figures from the World Health Organization, the number of men contracting prostate cancer in rural China is negligible, only 0.5 men inevery 100,000. In England, Scotland and Wales, however, this figure is 70 times higher. Like breast cancer, it is a middle-class disease that primarily attacks the wealthier & higher socio-economic groups - those that can afford to eat rich foods.

I remember saying to my husband-- 'Come on Peter, you have just come backfrom China. What is it about the Chinese way of life that is so different. Why don't they get breast cancer? 'We decided to utilize our joint scientific backgrounds and approach itlogically. We examined scientific data that pointed us in the general direction of fats in diets. Researchers had discovered in the 1980s that only l4 % of calories in the average Chinese diet were from fat, compared to almost 36% in the West. But the diet I had been living on for years before I contracted breast cancer was very low in fat and high in fibre. Besides, I knew as a scientist that fat intake in adults has not been shown to increase risk for breast cancer in most investigations that have followed large groups of women for up to a dozen years.

Then one day something rather special happened. Peter and I have worked together so closely over the years that I am not sure which one of us first said: 'The Chinese don't eat dairy produce! 'It is hard to explain to a non-scientist the sudden mental and emotional 'buzz' you get when you know you have had an important insight. It's as if you have had a lot of pieces of a jigsaw in your mind, and suddenly, in a few seconds, they all fall into place and the whole picture is clear. suddenly I recalled how many Chinese people were physically unable to tolerate milk, how the Chinese people I had worked with had always said that, milk was only for babies, and how one of my close friends, who is ofChinese origin, always politely turned down the cheese course at dinner parties. I knew of no Chinese people who lived a traditional Chinese life who ever used cow or other dairy food to feed their babies. The tradition was to use a wet nurse but never, ever, dairy products. Culturally, the Chinese find our Western preoccupation with milk and milk products very strange. I remember entertaining a large delegation of Chinese scientists shortly after the ending of the Cultural Revolution in the 1980s. On advice from the Foreign Office, we had asked the caterer to provide apudding that contained a lot of ice cream. After inquiring what the pudding consisted of, all of the Chinese, including their interpreter, politely but firmly refused to eat it, and they could not be persuaded to change their minds. At the time we were all delighted and ate extra portions!

Milk, I discovered, is one of the most common causes of food allergies. Over 70% of the world's population are unable to digest the milk sugar, lactose, for adults, not some sort of deficiency. Perhaps nature is trying to tell usthat we are eating the wrong food. Before I had breast cancer for the first time, I had eaten a lot of dairy produce such as skimmed milk, low-fat cheese and yoghurt. I had used it as my main source of protein. I also ate cheap but lean minced beef, which I now realized was probably often ground-up dairy cow. In order to cope withthe chemotherapy I received for my 5th case of cancer, I had been eating organic yoghurts as a way of helping my digestive tract to recover and repopulate my gut with 'good' bacteria. Recently, I discovered that way back in 1989 yoghurt had been implicated inovarian cancer. Dr Daniel Cramer of Harvard University studied hundreds ofwomen with ovarian cancer, and had them record in detail what they normally ate. Wish I'd been made aware of his findings when he had first discovered them.

Following Peter's and my insight into the Chinese diet, I decided to give up not just yoghurt but all dairy produce immediately. Cheese, butter, milk and yoghurt and anything else that contained dairy produce - it went down the sink or in the rubbish. It is surprising how many products, including commercial soups, biscuits and cakes, contain some form of dairy produce. Even many proprietary brands of margarine marketed as soya, sunflower or olive oil spreads can contain dairy produce. I therefore became an avid reader of the small print on food labels. Up to this point, I had been steadfastly measuring the progress of my fifth cancerous lump with callipers and plotting the results. Despite all the encouraging comments & positive feedback from my doctors and nurses, my own precise observations told me the bitter truth. My first chemotherapy session had produced no effect - the lump was still the same size. Then I eliminated dairy products. Within days, the lump started to shrink. About 2 weeks after my second chemotherapy session and one week after giving up dairy produce, the lump in my neck started to itch. Then it beganto soften and to reduce in size. The line on the graph, which had shown no change, was now pointing downwards as the tumour got smaller and smaller. And, very significantly, I noted that instead of declining exponentially (a graceful curve) as cancer is meant todo, the tumour's decrease in size was plotted on a straight line heading off the bottom of the graph, indicating a cure, not suppression (or remission) of the tumour.

One Saturday afternoon after about six weeks of excluding all dairy producefrom my diet, I practised an hour of meditation then felt for what was leftof the lump. I couldn't find it. Yet I was very experienced at detecting cancerous lumps - I had discovered all 5 cancers on my own. I went asked myhusband to feel my neck. He could not find any trace of the lump either. On the following Thursday I was due to be seen by my cancer specialist at Charing Cross Hospital in London. He examined me thoroughly, especially my neck where the tumour had been. He was initially bemused and then delighted, as he said, "I cannot find it.' None of my doctors, it appeared, had expected someone with my type and stage of cancer (which had clearly spread to the lymph system) to survive, let alone be so hale & hearty. My specialist was as overjoyed as I was. When I first discussed my ideaswith him, he was understandably skeptical. But I understand that he now uses maps showing cancer mortality in China in his lectures, and recommends anon-dairy diet to his cancer patients.

I now believe that the link between dairy produce and breast cancer is similar to the link between smoking and lung cancer. I believe that identifying the link between breast cancer and dairy produce, and then developing a diet specifically targeted at maintaining the health of my breast and hormone system, cured me.It was difficult for me, as it may be for you, to accept that a substance as'natural' as milk might have such ominous health implications. But I am aliving proof that it works and, starting from tomorrow, I shall reveal the secrets of my revolutionary action plan.

It's by Roald Dahl, with his personal message in the end of the pages. Need i say more ?

The Wonderful Tale of Nothingness

Ramadhan is here and this equals to a lot of slacking and sleeping on my part, with excuses to retire to bed and stuff myself all based on fasting.Terrible terrible terrible. On the other hand, exam is round the corner and i'm still finding it hard to concentrate, losing my control of the conscious mind. Perhaps i should employ occlumency a la Harry or practice the Age Old Yoga with Henry Sugar? Amazing book with a personal touch. I love Roald Dahl. Thanks Naya for everything. Made My Days

hi nadia, sihat? ;)

akak terbaca tentang result doktor tu (i was bloghopping from everywhere). lepas baca rasa macam kecuttt sgt hati. be strong ye dear. mak akak pun dah chemo kali ke 3. so the pain yg satu family rasa mase kitorang tahu its cancer macam masih segar lagi dan bila baca apa yang nadia lalui macam bleh terbayang aje.

akak cuma nak kongsi apa yang akak tahu. kalau elok nadia bleh gunakan, kalau tak elok jangan ikut tau.

drpd apa yang mak akak lalui. however benign the lump, its always cancer stage 1. bila dah ada kemungkinan merebak maka dia akan jadi stage 2. mak akak dulu pembedahan lambat so left ovary tu macam bocor2 sket... kira dah naik jadik stage 2. family kami takde sejarah cancer yg heridity nie e.g breast cancer. tapi ovarian cancer akak tak sure samada heredity atau tak.

cuma pasal makan, org org tua pernah pesan kat akak, jangan bagi cancer patient makan durian, pisang... benda banyak sugar sbb cancer cells feed on sugar. pastu ini akak jumpe from the net ;

Foods to Choose
With all of the food choices available to us, how can you tell which ones are the best? "Ten foods have been labeled 'super foods' by the American Cancer Society because of their cancer-fighting abilities," McDowell said. Try to incorporate these foods into your diet whenever you can:

  • Berries (raspberries, blueberries, etc.)
  • Broccoli
  • Cold water fish (salmon, tuna)
  • Flax seed (use as a food additive or in bread)
  • Legumes ("Go meatless at least once a week," McDowell said.)
  • Low-fat dairy products
  • Spinach (fresh)
  • Soy foods such as tofu; although "You may want to avoid soy foods if you have breast cancer. There is a potential relationship between the two," McDowell said.
  • Sweet potatoes/pumpkin/squash (rich in Vitamin A or Beta Carotene)
  • Walnuts (rich in Omega 3 fatty acids)

Rooftop.

Its been years (months) since i visited the Sg. Wang rooftop at level 6 for retail therapy. The myriad of fashion displayed on the racks and worn on the fellow shoppers never failed to cheer me however glum i get. Harajuku, Vintage and even some " Feng tao" (is this what they call the Hong Kong fashion ?) . My favorite way to unwind after browsing the shops for out-of-this-world-cuteness tops, dresses and pants? Simply people-watching and sipping my bubbly drink at this cute rooftop cafe Juney introduced. I even got a plaid quarter pants for Rm 20, and it's soft and smooth as pure cotton and i have a sense of deja vu, this will be my fav piece.. Bargain innit? I love the Rooftop ! Will wear the pant tomorrow with random tee and perhaps take a pic or two for you guys to see!

Someone committed suicide at the Ixora Rooftop. Identity is still vague. Condolences to the family and friends. May you rest in peace.

Melody Fall

My recent discovery ! I simply love this rock band with a mixture of teeny bopping. The marriage of The Click Five and Paramore. To the love struck out there who doesn't quite agree to let go of the inner rock child for love. Their songs can serenade thy Juliets without the "Emmy Rossum" melody.I'm in love with all their songs like Your World, My Last Love Letter, My Hope System, I'm so Me and Fight Em Up. Some of their songs can be heard Here and on Youtube.

Im Leaving it in the Hands of God

After a few weeks (or was it days ?) of anxiously dreading the result, i finally muster enough
courage to face the Dr. for breast check up. The event passed by smoothly and my Dr (i'm sorry for my lack of Scientific knowledge, i don't know his position !) Dr. Francis reduced my embarrassment of having a stranger touching my boobs by merely touching it for minutes before he detected the lump and summoned me to the radiologist to be scanned. Result showed that i am indeed having a tumor on my left booby and it is in the opinion that it's not cancerous. However this is not confirmed and as it can grow, it is a must for me to undergo operation. I'm amazed at how fast it takes for me to be able to fully detect the seriousness of my situation and arrange an operation. I'm taking this bit by bit. Honestly, i'm shocked that i'm suspected of having breast cancer. I'm no health buff and i do take the occasional light, but to have gotten a lump ? I know millions got lumps, and it is in my family history, but still. As scared as i am, i view this as an opportunity from God to repent for my previous sins and to depart from my old self, any negative qualities. If i do have cancer, it's actually a privilege as i know when i will die, not many have such opportunities. Between dying in freak accidents and predicted death, i choose the latter.Such drama queen, right ?

Before leaving..see my haggard expression ?

The result..Aii hope no guy is reading !

the film..it looks like a baby scan

Remorse

Read my post below? Overnight he becomes my hero. Listening to Emmy Rossum's Slow Me Down, i feel a tingle of remorse for all the things I've done, especially of the impulse buying and the screams and selfishness i've displayed just to get my way. Here is a guy who is not ashamed of having his motorcycle riding Dad pick him up at a prestigious event, and here i am, a girl who will scream at her mother for worrying. Jahat kan? Sometimes material wealth takes away a portion of us and hides it from view and existence.

Maybe this remorse is a good thing. I recently discovered a lump on my left breast. God, now this sounds too private for blogs. But i guess this site is mine and i'm entitled. I'm going for check up asap. I talked to my loved ones and i realized, million miles away, my mom is worrying and my bf is jittery with worry. Same thing. I feel so selfish for doing all the things i've done to them when i'm not winning. I'm sorry. It's just a medical checkup, but its scary as i'm anticipating the result and yet i don't want to know. I didn't tell anyone else except the friend who will be driving me as i don't want the sympathy and the questionings. I hope beyond hope that it won't be a cancerous lump. The thing is, my lump is movable and it's painful. That's good as painful lumps are not cancerous. Let's just wait for the result when i do checkups shall we? Lovekisses.

KISAH ANAK PEMOTONG RUMPUT DI FFM 20
Contributed by Shima @ Hulu Langat

Malam 4 Ogos lalu, di Dewan Tuanku Syed Putra, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Pulau Pinang, pelakon filem
Mukhsin, Mohd.
bertanyakan, apa kata ibunya tentang kemenangannya.
Cikgu
tak beri. Dia kata asyik shooting saja. Dia bimbang, nanti saya tak dapat fokus PMR.
"Tapi saya merayu. Keluarga saya orang susah dan saya anak tunggal. Shooting pun dapat duit. Hari tu,
saya berlakon empat drama, dapat duit. Boleh juga bantu keluarga," kata Syafie.
"Berlakon filem Mukhsin dulu tu, saya dapat RM10,000. Saya bagi emak RM500 dan ayah RM500.
Selebihnya saya simpan. Saya nak jadi jurukamera filem. Nanti kalau nak ambil kursus tu tentu
kena pakai banyak duit.
"Dia tertinggal duit," bisik sumber.
Kasihan.
tengok Syafie membeli sebiji limau bali.

Paramore-Misery Business

Paramore Misery Business Lyrics

Rasa Food Court KLCC

Ive been doing nothing but pigging out last Merdeka weekend, true to my roots as a Malaysian as we are known for our weakness when it comes to the abundance of food in the country. Running out of ideas on eateries to sample, we picked the Rasa Foodcourt located at Level 4 i think, someone please clarify. This foodcourt recently went a refurbishment and the result is extremely pleasing on the eye. Pristine counters and systematic service, unlike the normal phenomenon in KL. The bf decided on a hot plate of Nasi Biryani and Chicken Rendang while i settled for a steaming plate of Penang Char Kuey Teow with chilli pickles.
The Char Kuey Teow is only so-so, with two pathetic prawns and spiciness even i cant tolerate and i'm known for my love for chillies. The wok hei is there, but it's nothing compared to hawker stalls and Madam Kwans. The condiments supplied is fine nevertheless.

According to the bf, the rice tasted like nasi minyak served at Malay weddings. Served with achar, Malay for pickles the Rendang is delicious with just the right amount of spices and the meat is succulent. A meal for two hardly cost rm 20 and for this amount, we will be coming back to sample more stalls.

This is my lunch the next day as the bf goes to work and i'm left with no transport and the laziness to travel.

Vienna Bagels

After countless mouth-watering entries on Vienna Bagels, especially the one by BooLicious, i dragged the bf down to KLCC last weekend to sample some of the delicious bagels made known by bloggers. We went shortly before lunch therefore we weren't able to sample much as we need room for lunch, just 3 bagels and they cost about rm 7. The bagels are cheaper if bought in bulk, one costs about rm 3. I'm not sure of the exact names of the bagels, but i hope someone can clarify. These bagels are nice, freshly baked
and their smells sure tantalizes the tastebuds of many! My favourite is the white chocolate topped with caramel dusts. One word of caution : Messy ! So please refrain from eating if you're wearing white or nowhere near tissues or toilets.
